Milking the Internet Cash Cows of Affiliate Marketing and Blogging

Anyone looking to make money online can be easily distracted and side-tracked by the numerous ‘get-rich-quick/overnight’ schemes that abound on the Internet. Do any of them work?

Maybe – but ‘work’ is the operative word. All businesses, whether online or off, take time, work and effort. There is no such thing as “set it and forget it’ when you are starting out.

That being said, there are ways to make quick and easy money online – methods that can see a profit even in your first month. Within a few days you can be milking the Internet cash cows of affiliate marketing and blogging.

Affiliate Marketing

A simple Internet cash cow is affiliate marketing. This is the method most online marketers choose when starting out. It requires minimal start-up costs and is easy to set-up. All you need to do is find products that interest you, and promote them to your target market or niche – make it one that you are either actively involved in or one that appeals to you.

How you promote them is as varied as the products available.

If you are already a member of a forum that provides information to others, and the forum rules allow it, you can embed links in your posts for the products you are promoting.

Or if you are allowed to have a signature link following your posts, use it to redirect your readers to the sales page for the product.

Another method would be to set-up a Squidoo lens or Hubpage and post information on the niche/market you are advocating and embed your affiliate links within the text.

You could also write an honest review of the actual product and compare it to similar items.

Just make sure that you provide useful information on your pages – ease up on overly promoting products as both Squidoo and Hubpages are cracking down on what they consider ‘junk’ pages.

Blogging

Promoting affiliate products on Squidoo lenses and Hubpages can lead quite readily into blogging where you can develop your own ‘voice’ and style while still promoting your affiliations.

You can also use a blog, or several, to write compelling reviews on either physical or digital products that you choose to endorse.

And again simply embed your affiliate links at appropriate places in your text.

This tactic works better than outright selling methods, a buy-this-right-now-or-you’ll-live-to-regret-it approach, which many prospective customers will shy away from.

Also, on a blog you can invite your readers to join your ‘new blog post’ notification list or newsletter. This opens the field for you to send information and offers to a larger and increasingly receptive market.

Again, to save money when starting out, you can use a free blogging platform such as Blogger or WordPress.

But, as soon as you can afford it, you should host a blog on your own domain as this approach marks you as a permanent and reliable source and not some fly-by-night promoter. You will find it easier to establish yourself as an expert in your chosen niche from a self-hosted blogging platform.

You can exponentially increase the profitability of your hard work and efforts by milking both the Internet cash cows of affiliate marketing and blogging than if you just concentrated on one of the methods alone.

Now all you need to do is pick a niche, do some keyword research, set up a blog, lens, or Hubpage, and start your engines.
